CUPE education workers have:

  • Clear contracts, laying out terms and conditions of employment in black and white.
  • Job security
  • Democratic processes for making all local decisions
  • Access to professional help in negotiations, research, legal issues, pay equity, job evaluation, health and safety, communications and more.

CUPE is Canada’s largest union with 750,000 members.  CUPE represents workers in 11 different sectors and the majority of CUPE members work in public services.

Approximately 60% of CUPE members are women.
